First time here since the name changed but still get the same great service staff is kind our waiter Shaun was very knowledgeable and checked on us occasionally the lobster ravioli was delicious our drinks were good too great view of Lake Erie if you get lucky to sit by the window valet parking only $10
Parking for the location started it off and was kind of sucky. You have to valet or walk a good little distance. In the cold, it can be a little miserable so I did drop my wife off at the door. The house were very nice and accommodating. The service was very friendly and great interacting with our toddler. The food was all taste wise very good. My lamb I did have to send back because it was not cooked to temp. I asked for medium rare, and it was raw in the middle. Definitely not even questioning it, it was cold. As much as I paid for the meal, I would expect them to temp before leaving the kitchen, but maybe not. As I said that the flavor of everything was really good. Atmosphere was really nice on the inside. I would say the mood lighting once it was dark outside could have been a little bit brighter. I felt like I was eating in the dark. Overall was a nice experience though.
When out of towners ask for Italian restaurant recommendations I send them here. My go to. Top 2 lobster ravioli in the city (and it's not 2). Service is always a 10. Great atmosphere for a date night, birthday dinner or evening with friends. I love the enclosed outdoor patio seating in the summer. Valet parking only.
Truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! Casa La Luna was recommended to us by family friends who have dined in a few times before. My family came here on Christmas Eve, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect! When we sat down, we were immediately served steaming hot bread with oil, which was addicting! Our waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu and their specials, and she didn't hesitate to give good recommendations. We ordered shrimp cocktail for the appetizer, as well as their house salad. The wine and pasta was so so so good. I cannot wait to come back!
Came here with a colleague, and it was soooo good! I was already excited for this place, as it's on Yelp CLE's list of the best places to eat according to CLE Yelp Elites, and it surely did not disappoint! First off, I'm such a sucker for low lighting, and it's perfect here. Did I need my phone to see a couple of words? Yes. Did I care? No :) We started with a bottle of red wine, along with a caprese salad and the sacchetti al tartufo bianco, which is a white truffle ricotta-stuffed pasta to share...and wow, what a start. Everything was so fresh, which, of course, got me excited for the rest of the meal. Ironically, I ended up ordering the same pasta for my entrée. I guess it's a good thing I loved it! Once again, it was amazing. We ended the night with bread pudding, which was delicious. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in CLE!
Some of the best Italian food in the area. Whether you're seated at the bar, in a booth, or outside the service is impeccable. Interior is dark, moody, and romantic. Menu is expansive, but keep a close eye on the specials because they're always fantastic. Portions are massive. Always delicious. Cocktails are always great. Perhaps the highlight of every meal is the large serving of tiramisu at the end. Highly recommend coming here for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion.
I'm late in writing this review, but I did not want to miss out on sharing this experience. First, let me tell you to ARRIVE EARLY if you are trying to make it to happy hour. There is a vestibule where people begin lining up to snag bar seats. You won't know there's a long line until it's too late. It's busy, don't the chances. We got lucky and were the last ones to get bar seats, though the couple beside us did end up leaving with enough time for another couple to be seated (this is highly unusual per the locals that were sitting around us). We were also informed that the last couple of seats at the far end of the bar (The furthest away from the entry) are always reserved for friends of the owner. Don't make the mistake of trying to grab those two seats and then come back when you're turned away. Someone will have already spoken for all of the other seats. The bartenders are really working, you can tell that they have it down to a science. The wine prices are also reduced and there were nice options, which was great. The happy hour menu is available online. The food here was amazing. We did not snap any photos (sorry!) because neither of us had eaten anything all day and we were too pause for pics. The portions that they offer for happy hour specials are just smaller sizes than the normal entrees. We shared the ravioli, crostini and for dessert the chocolate mousse. Everything was absolutely delicious. The mousse was extremely rich, and after the food we had it sat heavy in my stomach but was OH SO WORTH IT! I would maybe recommend getting a coffee to pair with dessert. I had some port (tawny) to pair with it and it matched nicely with the dessert. I feel so silly for not getting any photos, but I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in town. we were visiting for a concert on a Friday night and the location was unbeatable to get to Jacob's pavilion. I don't think there's a better spot for a pre-show dinner. They also offer valet parking, although I'm not sure if you could leave your car there during an event. We took an uber and walked to the venue after dinner.
Excellent HH deals here - all the HH items were $7 which is such a steal. Come early/right as they open or you won't get a seat at the bar for HH. From the HH menu, we got the salmon carpaccio, the mussels, caprese salad, calamari, and bolognese, but there were a few more options on the HH menu. We also got an appetizer order of the sacchetti ($18), since that is a signature dish of Luna's. All the dishes were tasty and came out super quickly. There is also complimentary bread with olive oil & vinegar which was also very tasty. I enjoyed all the dishes, and the sacchetti came with ~7 pieces which was a perfect amount to get a taste. Highly recommend this dish, it was excellent. My favorite item from the HH menu was the bolognese -- huge portion size for the price and tasted great. The service was very quick initially when they weren't busy, but they quickly filled up and then it became a bit difficult to get the bill and leave since the poor bartender had to wait on all the bar seats and make drinks, but he did a good job considering the bar seats were full when we left, and a good portion of the restaurant was full too. All in all, excellent HH deals, but many items on their regular menu looked good as well. If you do want to make HH, come early right as it starts to get a seat! Parking right out front is valet only (or permit only), but if you park a bit further up the street, you can find free street parking.
My fiance and I stopped by here last night for the first time for dinner and it was such a wonderful experience! The vibe is unmatched. We already knew we were in for a treat because we arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant opened and there was already a line out the door. We got seated in the outdoor veranda which was so lovely and surprisingly cool despite the 80 degree weather. I will say the service is a bit slow. It took about an hour to order and get our food. But, my guess is because it's such a popular spot and the restaurant filled up as soon as it opened. However, the service was very friendly and the wait was worth it, as our food was phenomenal! We got the lemonade, a mocktail, shrimp cocktail, bolognese, and the pork chop. All were so delicious! We wanted dessert but were too full, so we'll have to come back next time. It's a little pricey but good for a special occasion. We actually decided to try out the restaurant because we are hosting our wedding dinner celebration here in a few months, so now we are even more excited about it!
